Delivery, Assembly and Removals

We want to be certain your beautiful new bed has made it safely into your bedroom, and has been assembled properly ready for you to add fresh clean sheets and an inviting new duvet.

Delivery

When you enter your postcode in our checkout, we check where you live, and delivery is shown charged accordingly.

If you live in most parts of the UK mainland, our own drivers will bring your bed, mattress (and any other items you have ordered) into your home, and take them to whichever room you’d like in.

There are a small number of more remote addresses for which our system will advise, at checkout, that we are unable to offer standard delivery. If this applies to you and you would like us to obtain a special delivery quote from our hauliers for you, please email or call us and we will be pleased to do so.

The individual wooden pieces of your bed will be carefully wrapped in blankets to avoid any chance of damage in transit. This is the way we’ve always done this. It’s extremely effective, environmentally responsible, and means the savings we make by not using cardboard packing can be passed on to you in our pricing

Zone 1 – Delivery Free of Charge

The charge covers delivery of your goods to the room of your choice by our own drivers, and assembling of any wooden bed frames.

Zone 2 – Delivery charge £48

Postcodes: NG; WR; DE; B; CV; LE; NN; CB; MK; HP; LU; OX; RG; SG; CM; SS; SP; SN; SO; BN; RH; TN; CT; ME; AL; GU; GL; CO;

The charge covers delivery of your goods to the room of your choice by our own drivers, and assembling of any wooden bed frames.

Zone 3 – Delivery charge £75

Postcodes: WS; PR; BB; LS; L; WN; WA; M; HX; HD; HU; WF; DN; CH; CW; SK; S; LN; LD; HR; CF; TF; ST; WV; DY; PE; NR; TA; BS; DT; BA; BH; NP; IP; BL; OL

The charge covers delivery of your goods to the room of your choice by our subcontracted logistics provider. We are unable to offer free assembly in this zone and the charge for delivery has been calculated to reflect this.

Zone 4 – Delivery charge £75

Postcodes: FY; DD; FK; KY; G; ML; EH; TD; DG; NE; CA; SR; DH; DL; TS; LA; YO; HG; BD; LL; SY; SA; PL; EX; TQ; PO (except PO 30-41 for which you should call us); TR

Bespoke delivery postcodes

The following postcodes are in zones to which we do not offer flat rate delivery, but for which we will be pleased to quote a bespoke delivery charge. Call us on 020 7624 3024 to discuss.

Assembly

If your address is located in our Delivery Zones 1 or 2 (as above), we will assemble your bed for you without charge on delivery.

Our driver will assemble the bed, unpack and position the mattress for you (if you have purchased one) and put in place any other items of furniture you have ordered. He will take away any packing material (such as the plastic wraps protecting the mattress).

Unfortunately, at this time the delivery team which makes our deliveries to Zones 3 and 4, including parts of Wales, Cumbria, Northumberland, North Yorkshire, Scotland, Devon and Cornwall, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man or the Channel Islands are not able to assemble beds. If this applies to your delivery, we will tell you this when we confirm your order by telephone.

If you live in one of these areas, and particularly want us to assemble the bed for you, please discuss this with us when we call. At a small additional charge, we will happily send one of our core delivery team out with your bed especially, and he will then assemble it for you.

If we do deliver a bed to you in an area where we do not offer assembly, the bed is supplied with an instructions sheet showing you how to put it together yourself, as well as with the allen key needed to tighten the joints. Assembling one of our beds is an easy job that can be done by anyone with basic practical skills, providing you are fit enough to move the pieces around. The only tool you will require aside from the allen key we supply is a screwdriver for securing the mattress slats into position. Complete assembly by someone who has never done it before will usually take about 30 minutes.

Underbed drawers, bookcases and items of bedroom furniture other than beds do not require assembly.

Taking away your old bed or mattress

We know getting rid of an old bed, or even just an old mattress, can be awkward.

When you check out your order we’ll ask if you would like us to remove these for you. (This service is available for most delivery addresses, though not all.)

When you are asked this at checkout, just tell us how many individual items you would like removed, and a small charge will be added to your total for taking away each item and disposing of it responsibly.

The charge made simply covers the cost of the additional driver time, and the commercial recycling cost, incurred in disposing of the items for you.

Each bed and each mattress is charged as an individual item for disposal.
