Extra Firm – not hard, but a little more firm than a Firm mattress.

These are all the mattresses in our range which have a firmness level that we rate as Extra Firm. This is the firmest of our three levels

These mattresses are certainly not so rigid that you’ll be in any way uncomfortable. But they are perfect if you like your mattress to be towards the more rigid, stable end of the spectrum. If you push down with your hand on a ‘Firm’ mattress, you will sense the resistance. It gives an excellent level of support to your body without too much ‘give’.

The firmness rating of a mattress is not influenced by the basic type of mattress construction, and all of our mattress types are available in each level of firmness. This means that whatever kind of mattress you’d like, we’ll have one that suits the firmness you like as well.

It’s important that you find a mattress that will give you a great night’s sleep. If you’re shopping online and are nowhere near our store, you can choose confidently by basing your decision on our firmness level ratings. However, if it’s convenient for you to come and visit our showroom in Swiss Cottage in North London, you’re more than welcome to kick off your shoes and try out each mattress – or at least a mattress of that same firmness – for yourself.
