This is the complete range of mattresses of all kinds that we are able to supply in the 4’0″ width of a Small Double Bed. This is an extremely useful and so popular space-saving mattress size, especially in guest rooms, and many of our mattresses come in this size.

So we have Orthopaedic, Pocket Sprung, Memory Foam, Pocket Sprung/Memory Hybrid and Latex Small Double width models for you to choose from, giving you a good selection at whichever level of firmness you like.

You may never have slept on a mattress of this size and the idea of a width 6″ narrower than that of a standard Double bed might seem a little worrying. However, this is a very popular bed size, as it’s a whole 12″ wider than a Single and, even if it’s not quite a full Double, for a teenager or even a guest, it’s a perfectly generous size of bed if you just don’t have room to get a full Double in.

If you’re not stuck for space, however, you might of course also like to think about a standard 4′ 6″ mattress width – Double. This does allow that bit more room to move. If, on the other hand, you’re not certain that even a Small Double will fit nicely into your available space, you might like to take a look at our 3’6″ mattress width – Large Single.
