Kyoto Bed
Description
The Kyoto Bed is one of our range of four Kyoto models, designed to help save space. The width and length of this bed are exactly the same as that of the mattress they are carrying, with quadrant corner posts that follow the corner profile of the mattress. (On our non-Kyoto beds, the frame tends to add about 4.75 in (12cm) to the dimensions of the mattress.) The Kyoto Bed is the normal bed height version of this minimalist, Japanese-inspired design. If you add Underbed Drawers to this bed when you build your order, you will be offered the special Kyoto versions of these, which are a little shorter than the versions designed to fit beneath the rest of our range.

Specifying your bed
Use the finish selector swatch or dropdown menu to decide which finish would look best in your space. Then pick the size you want. Once you’ve done this, click ‘Build Your Bed’ and our bed Builder will open. You’ll then be able to choose a mattress and add underbed drawers.

Bed sizes are always described using the size of the mattress the bed takes, so the dimensions you’ll see on our Bed Size menu are actually the length and width of the mattress. Because of its unique space-saving design, you can consider the width and length of the Kyoto Bed wooden frame as being exactly the same as those of the mattress.
Lead time
Your Taurus wooden bed will be handbuilt for you in our factory to your exact choice of style, size and finish, as well as any bespoke adjustments you might ask for. Naturally, to build a beautiful, quality bed for you takes a few days. We aim to deliver beds in 4-6 weeks from receiving your order. We’ll agree your actual delivery date with you when we telephone you to confirm the order. If it’s important to you to have your bed sooner than 4-6 weeks, please tell us and we’ll see what we can do to help.

The Kyoto bed is a dream come true for me. Because it doesn't add any extra width to the mattress width, it's the difference for me between being able to have a normal 4'6" double bed and having to settle for a 4' narrow double.
