A Zip and Link pair of our Midi Kyoto Bed, designed to be used as two individual beds, or to be pushed flush together to create a bed for two people.

This makes them an excellent choice for guest houses or guest rooms in private homes.

The beds should be used with a pair of Zip and Link mattresses from our special Zip and Link Mattresses range, so that when used as one bed, the mattresses can be zipped tightly together.

The Midi Kyoto Bed is one of four Kyoto models, designed to help with space saving. The width and length of the bed itself are exactly the same as that of the mattress they are carrying, with quadrant corner posts that follow the corner profile of the mattress. Because the Midi Kyoto sits lower to the floor than the Kyoto, or Kyoto with Headboard, you cannot use Underbed Drawers with this bed.

Choosing A Finish

Use the finish selector to help you decide which finish would look best in your space. (The selector swatches will not recolour the photo for each finish in the way that they do on our individual bed pages.)

Then pick the size you want and tell us how many you’d like. (Remember that this is a pair of beds, so an order of QTY 1 gives you two 1-person beds which can be combined to make a 2-person bed.)

Bed Measurements

The sizes quoted are that for each single bed, of which this item comprises a pair. Bed sizes are always described using the size of the mattress the bed takes, so the dimensions you’ll see on our Bed Size menu are actually the length and width of the mattress. Because of its unique space-saving design, you can consider the width of the Kyoto Bed with Headboard as being exactly the same as that of the mattress. You should add 1 inch (25mm) to the mattress length to allow for the thickness of the wooden support struts which fix the headboard in position.
